Elba Haid’s history of care began in 1995 when she founded Realcare Inc. in Winnipeg, driven by a passion to provide dignified and compassionate care for elders. As a family-oriented business, this legacy continues into the future, with Haid’s daughter now serving as vice president. Realcare’s mission to offer personalized, high-quality care has earned a reputation for integrity and trust within the community.

Beyond elder care, Haid has made significant contributions to women’s health and empowerment. As the first Canadian founding member of the Women’s Heart and Brain Health Initiative, she has raised awareness of heart disease and stroke risks among women. Her philanthropic work also includes mentoring and supporting women through the Women of Winnipeg, and contributing to Winnipeg’s arts and culture scene.
